Fees for Services Not Covered by MSP

This document outlines fees for services not covered by MSP. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our office. Fees will be invoiced via Stripe and Include GST.

Why do we charge for these itms?

MSP covers your medical care, but many “administrative” requests—sick-notes, driver’s exams, insurance or disability forms, record transfers, and missed-appointment gaps—fall outside the public plan. Doctors of BC publishes a province wide fee guide each April so patients know exactly what to expect and so clinics can keep prices consistent and fair. We use that guide (rounded down to the nearest dollar or less) as our ceiling; you’re billed only when you ask for a service MSP doesn’t insure, and we’ll always tell you the cost up front.

• Sick / absence certificate (“sick note”) — $30

• Driver’s Medical Examination Report — $250

• Marine Medicals - $275

• Transfer of medical records — $45

• Insurance / disability / travel form – short report — $180

• Insurance / disability / travel form – long / extensive report — $240

• Missed appointment / no-show (15-min booking) — $80

• Private appointments / or services not covered by MSP- $100

• Cryotherapy for cosmetic skin lesions — $100 per 15 minutes*
